Tri-Pataki Chakra

What it is

The Tri-Pataki Chakra ("three-banner diagram") is a Tajaka visual that scores each house's strength for a chosen period by counting:

  • Natal planets in the house
  • Transit planets in the house at the chosen moment

The combined count gives a strength rating per house: empty, weak, medium, or strong. Houses with multiple natal and transit planets are heavily activated for that period.

How to find it

Hamburger → VARSHAPHAL → Tri-Pataki Chakra.

How to read

The output is a 12-row table:

House Natal Transit Score Rating
1 1 2 3 strong
2 0 1 1 weak
3 2 0 2 medium

Rating thresholds:

  • Empty — score 0 — house not lit up; quiet area
  • Weak — score 1 — one significator
  • Medium — score 2 — moderately active
  • Strong — score 3+ — heavily activated; major life-area for the period

How to use it

The houses with strong rating are where the action is for the year. Read those houses' significations:

  • 1st strong → year of self-focus, vitality
  • 4th strong → year about home, mother, emotional foundation
  • 7th strong → year of partnership / opposition
  • 10th strong → career / public-facing year

Empty houses indicate quiet life-areas — the matter doesn't press for attention this period. This is useful information too (e.g. an empty 7th when relationships feel quiet is not a problem; the year just isn't about them).

Pairing with Specialty Timing

Tri-Pataki gives you which houses are active. Specialty Timing gives you whether a particular event-type will fire. Together they triangulate:

  • Strong 7th + favourable Marriage Specialty Timing window = high-confidence marriage year
  • Empty 7th + favourable Marriage Specialty Timing window = the dasha-bhukti supports it but the house isn't lit; possibly a quieter relationship development
  • Strong 7th + no Marriage Specialty Timing = relationship focus but not a marriage event — could be an existing-relationship shift

Limitations

  • Transit positions are computed at noon UT today. For a specific date use the Day-of-Life Player or the Transits feature.
  • The score is a simple count. Classical Tri-Pataki additionally weights aspect-throws to/from the house, planetary dignity, and house-lord placement — those are simplifications here.
