Remedies Engine
What it does
The Remedies Engine produces a personalised remedy plan based on the specific structure of your chart — not a generic per-planet list. It identifies:
- Which planets need strengthening (your Lagna lord, 9th lord, Atmakaraka — the cores of who you are)
- Which planets need pacifying (malefics in dusthanas / kendras causing affliction)
- Your three personal deities (Ishta, Pala, Dharma)
- Contraindicated gemstones (so you don't accidentally wear something that strengthens a difficult house-lord)
How to find it
Features menu → 💎 Remedies.
What you get
Recommended gemstones
For each primary planet (Lagna lord, 9th lord, Atmakaraka), the output gives:
- Primary gem (e.g. Yellow Sapphire for Jupiter)
- Substitute options (e.g. Citrine, Yellow Topaz)
- Metal to set it in
- Finger to wear it on
- Day to first wear it (the planet's day, in its hora)
- Weight (approximate carat range)
- Reason — why this gem is recommended for your chart
Contraindicated gemstones
Lords of 6, 8, 12 (the "dusthana" houses) are explicitly listed under "🚫 contraindicated". If your 6th lord is, say, Saturn — then Blue Sapphire would strengthen a malefic house-lord and should be avoided, no matter how attractive the stone is.
This is one of the most common Vedic-astrology mistakes: people wear gems for any "weak" planet without checking what house that planet rules. KarmaWheel's contraindicated list prevents that.
Mantras
Two sets: - Mantras to strengthen — bija mantras for Lagna lord, 9th lord, Atmakaraka. These are safely chanted by anyone. - Mantras to pacify — bija mantras for malefics afflicting Lagna or Moon.
Each mantra entry shows:
- The full bija mantra in transliteration
- Daily count (e.g. "11,000 for Moon, 19,000 for Jupiter")
- Duration (typically 40 days)
Yantras
Each planet has a corresponding numerical yantra (3×3 magic-square with a planet-specific row/column sum). Yantras can be installed at home or used in pooja.
Rudraksha
The mukhi (face-count) of rudraksha that corresponds to each planet:
| Planet | Mukhi |
|---|---|
| Sun | 1-mukhi (rare; substitute 12-mukhi) |
| Moon | 2-mukhi |
| Mars | 3-mukhi |
| Mercury | 4-mukhi |
| Jupiter | 5-mukhi |
| Venus | 6-mukhi |
| Saturn | 7-mukhi (or 14-mukhi) |
| Rahu | 8-mukhi (or 18-mukhi) |
| Ketu | 9-mukhi |
Daan (donations)
For each afflictor, a specific donation is recommended. Daan requires no expert and has no side-effects — it's the safest of all remedies.
Each entry says what to give, on which day, and to whom (temple / priest / labourer / school).
Personal Deities
Three deities are computed from your Atmakaraka's navamsha placement:
- Ishta Devata — 12th lord from AK in D9. Worship for spiritual realisation / liberation.
- Pala Devata — 6th lord from AK. Worship for protection.
- Dharma Devata — 9th lord from AK. Worship to align with right action.
Each is shown with the corresponding planet and the classical deity-form (e.g. Jupiter → Brihaspati / Vishnu / Dakshinamurti).
How to use the plan
Mantras and daan are safe for anyone. Start there.
Gemstones must be tested carefully. Even a recommended gem should be tried for 2-3 weeks (a small uncut stone, or a temporary silver setting) before committing to a full pendant. Notice mood, sleep, and circumstances. If anything feels worse, stop wearing it.
Yantras and rudraksha should be activated by a qualified priest or astrologer. If self-installed, do so on the planet's day in the proper hora.
Caveats
- Remedies are supplementary. They are aids, not magic. The primary tool of self-knowledge is understanding the chart.
- This engine uses standard textbook recommendations. An experienced astrologer working with the live chart may suggest different gems if subtle conditions warrant (e.g. exalted-planet primary gems if the chart's structure makes the lagna-lord-gem unsuitable).
