What it does

KarmaWheel's Medical Astrology audit applies the classical Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra Chapter 53 (houses-to-organs) and Chapter 54 (planet-to-disease) frameworks to your chart, plus the Drekkana (D3) body-part scheme. It identifies:

  1. Afflicted planets — which natal planets are afflicted, and why
  2. Vulnerable houses — which body-zones face the most natal stress, ranked by risk-score
  3. Drekkana body-parts — for any seriously afflicted planet, which specific body region it represents

This is educational and exploratory only. It is not medical diagnosis. Always consult a qualified physician for any actual health concern.

How affliction is detected

A natal planet is flagged as afflicted if any of these holds:

  • It is in 6th, 8th, or 12th house (the dusthanas / "sorrow" houses)
  • It is in its sign of debilitation (Sun in Libra, Moon in Scorpio, Mars in Cancer, Mercury in Pisces, Jupiter in Capricorn, Venus in Virgo, Saturn in Aries, Rahu in Sagittarius, Ketu in Gemini)
  • It is conjunct a malefic (Saturn, Mars, Rahu, Ketu, Sun) and is itself a benefic. Malefics conjunct each other are not flagged.

The reasons are listed under each afflicted planet so you can see the specific stress pattern.

How vulnerable houses are scored

A house gets a risk-score based on:

  • +2 — its lord is afflicted (per the test above)
  • +1 — a malefic occupies it without a benefic also present

Houses with score 0 are dropped. The remaining list is sorted risk-first. Each house entry shows:

  • The body region it governs (per BPHS 53)
  • Its natal lord
  • The reasons it scored

How the planet-disease list reads

Each afflicted planet shows a one-line disease tendency from BPHS Chapter 54 + standard tradition:

Planet Disease tendencies
Sun Heart, eyes (right in male / left in female), bone, fever, headache, blood pressure
Moon Mental health, lungs, breasts, body fluids, blood, anaemia, cold/cough
Mars Blood, accidents, surgery, inflammation, muscles, marrow, fever, burns
Mercury Nervous system, skin, voice, speech disorders, allergies, intelligence
Jupiter Liver, gallbladder, fat, diabetes, arteries, ear, obesity
Venus Kidneys, reproductive system, semen, urinary tract, eyes, throat, hormones
Saturn Bones, joints, teeth, chronic disease, depression, paralysis, arthritis, ageing
Rahu Poisoning, ulcers, mysterious / undiagnosed ailments, snake-bite, mental disturbance
Ketu Mysterious ailments, parasitic infection, immune disorders, surgical scars

How the Drekkana body-part view reads

For each afflicted planet, KarmaWheel computes its D3 (Drekkana) sign by the standard floor((deg-in-sign)/10) formula and looks up the corresponding body-region per the classical Drekkana scheme:

Drekkana sign Body region
1 (Aries) Head
2 (Taurus) Right shoulder, right arm
3 (Gemini) Right side of trunk
4 (Cancer) Right hip
5 (Leo) Right thigh, right knee
6 (Virgo) Right calf, right foot
7 (Libra) Right side groin, lower abdomen
8 (Scorpio) Genitals
9 (Sagittarius) Left side groin, lower abdomen
10 (Capricorn) Left calf, left foot
11 (Aquarius) Left thigh, left knee
12 (Pisces) Left hip, left side of trunk

Limitations

This audit captures natal vulnerability only. Active medical conditions are usually triggered by transits (especially Saturn slow transits and dasha-bhukti combinations involving the significator of the affected organ). Use the dasha and transit features to find timing.

It also doesn't run Drekkana arishta (death-indicators in the D3) or full Mrityu Saham analysis — those are deliberately omitted to avoid alarming non-specialists.
