Day-of-Life Player

What it does

The Day-of-Life Player is a longitudinal lifetime dashboard. Pick a date — past, present, or future — and KarmaWheel shows you exactly where you are (or were, or will be) in the karmic timeline of your chart. You can also drag a slider to scrub year-by-year and watch the active dashas and Sade Sati state change.

This is similar to Parashara's-Light's "life-events explorer" but designed for non-specialists: every output is labelled in plain English.

How to find it

Features menu → 🎞 Day-of-Life Player.

What it shows

For the chosen date, the snapshot displays:

Field	What it tells you
Date + age	The chosen calendar date plus your age in years (to two decimals)
Maha	Active Mahadasha lord, plus its full date range
Antar	Active Antardasha lord
Prat	Active Pratyantar (3rd-level sub-period)
Sade Sati	Phase 1 (Saturn in 12th from natal Moon), Phase 2 (over Moon — peak), Phase 3 (in 2nd from Moon), or "Not in Sade Sati". Also flags Ashtama Shani (4th/8th from Moon — Kantaka).
Saturn sign	Saturn's transit-sign at that date
Varshaphal yr	Which year-of-life you're in (year 1 = birth year)
Quality	Auspicious / Mixed / Challenging — broad-strokes from MD+AD natal benefic-malefic mix.

The whole panel is color-tinted: green-ish for auspicious, amber-ish for mixed, red-ish for challenging.

How to use it

For retrospection. Set the date to a major past event (job change, marriage, illness). See which Maha/Antar was active. Pattern- match across multiple events to learn how your dashas tend to express. This is the foundation for personal predictive intuition.

For forward planning. Scrub forward 1, 2, 5 years to see which dashas are coming up. Pair this with the Specialty Timing feature to confirm whether a specific upcoming window is favourable for the event you have in mind.

For Sade Sati prep. Scrub forward and watch the Sade Sati field change. When it goes from "Not in" to "Phase 1 (Rising)", you are within 2-3 years of Saturn entering the 12th house from your natal Moon — start preparing.

Caveats

The Quality label is intentionally crude. Real dasha quality depends on the lord's natal placement, dignity, aspects, and transit triggers — none of which the broad-strokes label captures. Use it as a hint, not a verdict.
The Saturn sign is computed at noon UT for your chosen date. For Sade Sati phase boundaries within ±2 weeks, look at the ephemeris to see when Saturn actually crosses sign edges.
Pratyantar dates can be off by a few hours from rigorous ephemeris-based calculations — within a day for any practical use.
