Dasamsa (D10) — The Career Chart

How it's calculated

Each 30° sign is divided into 10 equal parts of 3° each. The first 3° of any sign maps to a specific sign according to fixed rules:

For odd signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo...), the first 3° maps to the same sign, then proceeds counter-clockwise
For even signs (Taurus, Cancer, Virgo...), the first 3° maps to the 9th sign from itself

A planet's longitude in the Rasi determines its sign in the Dasamsa.

Because the segments are only 3° wide, birth time precision matters. A few minutes of error can shift a planet from one Dasamsa sign to another.
